New Release (5.19a) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.19a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 23.2 and contains support for the IFRS 2023, OEF 2023 and RXP 2023 taxonomies. Additionally, corrections and improvements were made to XDX validation, processing, and to certain wizards.

Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.

GoFiler Complete 5.19a

General EDGAR Updates

–  Corrected an issue that prevented users from selecting both versions of a form when the SEC allows multiple versions of the same form during a transition period.

–  Updated to EDGAR 23.2.

Page View and HTML

–  Added a validation check for empty CLASS attributes. An empty class value is now an error and a fatal error on iXBRL submissions.

–  Added CSS4 ‘font-optical-sizing’ to the CSS validator.

XBRL View

–  The application will now allow the Risk Return, CEF, and VIP taxonomies to have any context type.

–  Added support for the IFRS 2023, OEF 2023 and RXP 2023 taxonomies. Please note that there is a known issue with RXP: the software does not add extension elements to the presentation.

–  Updated the validation for DQC 15 for the latest elements and member exclusions.

–  Corrected an issue that occurred when multiple extensible enumerations added the same element to a single domain.

XDX

–  Changed the Risk Return, CEF, and VIP taxonomies such that they now support any context type for the primary context.

–  Added support for IFRS 2023, OEF 2023 and RXP 2023 taxonomies. Note that while XDX can be used to create RXP documents, the SEC does not accept iXBRL for RXP filings. Users should create an XFR report from XDX to create normal XBRL. Also note that there is a known issue with RXP: the software does not add extension elements to the presentation.

–  Added support for the OEF taxonomy to the Prospectus Wizard.

–  The Taxonomy Setup Wizard now displays the Series and Class page when using the OEF taxonomy.

–  Corrected and improved some items in the XDX engram validation.

–  Made a number of corrections and improvements to the XDX XBRL validation tool.

–  Corrected an issue where using xdx:NextElement or xdx:PreviousElement on an inline label could cause the label to be applied to the wrong element.
