Version 5.13b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This contains improvements for XDX and iXBRL as well as some corrections for opening Unicode files and badly-coded Section 16 XML files. This version also includes the Series and Class Lookup feature for Form 24F View and a new proofing mode for HTML documents that will mimic the display of HTML files on the SEC archive.

New Release (5.13b) for the GoFiler Family of Products

GoFiler Complete 5.13b
General Items
– Corrected a problem with examining file properties for non-ASCII files (variations on Unicode) which would result in an exception.
– Updated all relevant file signature testers to accept files encoded UTF-8 and Unicode-16 in Big-Endian and Little-Endian mode.
General EDGAR Updates
– Improved validation for the EX-FILING FEES exhibit on Form N-2 and its variants.
Section 16 Updates
– Corrected a problem with reading some third party vendor files that employed empty XML set tables for derivative and non-derivative sections which resulted in an exception.
– Improved error checking and recovery for badly coded XML files.

– The lookup Series/Class function from the Library Retrieve menu is now available.
– Corrected an issue with New Project/Submission picking the legacy form.

– Corrected an instability issue with the PDF display for files with multiple embedded fonts.
XBRL View
– Corrected an issue with the Auto Add Dimensions function when it the selected axis element is the FairValueByMeasurementBasisAxis element.
XDX
– Made improvements to calculations.
– Made improvements to continuations.
– The Create iXBRL function will no longer add custom elements with the same name as existing taxonomy elements.
– The application will now properly select the default member for the FairValueByMeasurementBasisAxis element when creating iXBRL.
– Corrected an issue with XDX validation of files with very long concept names.
iXBRL
– Corrected an issue with error reporting for hidden auditor elements.
– Corrected an issue with opening UTF-8 or Unicode iXBRL files.
– Added logic to handle multiple instances, such as a split with a cover page file and exhibit.
– Added logic to handle UNCs as part of the filenames for linkbases.
