Version 6.0c of GoFiler has been released. This release contains updates to some EDGAR Next functionality, as well as improvements and corrections to multiple EDGAR forms. In addition, users can now create custom XBRL templates combining known taxonomies. This update also contains multiple improvements to the Novaworks Fee Exhibit Editor (FEE).
Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.

– Corrected an issue where the status bar left text would overlap the right text.
Page View and HTML
– Added processing logic to compensate for changes with MS Word and copy and paste functionality.
– Corrected an error with selecting large areas of text and changing the inline font properties.
– Made improvements to tidy HTML processing.
– Corrected an issue with file locking and HTML link validation.
XBRL View
– Added User Defined Templates when creating a new XFR file.

SEC Taxonomy Changes and Updates

Filing and Mailbox Services
– The service has been updated to support filing using API tokens.
– The service has been updated to support the current process for logging into the EDGAR system using login.gov credentials.
– Added support for API Rate limiting.
– The service will now check the expiration dates of the User and Filer tokens before submitting.
– The service will now log the core settings when starting up so users can verify the service loaded the settings properly.
– Corrected an issue that could prevent NSS from waking up the computer to perform a filing.
Form ABS-EE XML Exhibit File
– Added logic to better track edit changes and make sure the file modified flag is set.
EDGAR iXBRL Fee Exhibit Editor
– Added 424I processing
– Made numerous improvements to Table 1, 2 and 3 operations.
– Added a calculation function to most forms (except 424I).
– Added a check for FEE View data modified outside of the FEE View editor.
– Updated to FFD 2025 Taxonomy
Form 13F and SHO Updates
– Resolved issue where CUSIP List was not automatically updating.
– The “Confidential Treatment Requested” checkbox should now only be visible for 13F-HR and 13F-HR/A forms when proofing.
Form 17-H
– The application will now give an error if the “Period Beginning” and “Period Ending” dates are less than one year apart and the “Is this being filed for a period that is NOT a full year?” box is not checked.
Form 144 Updates
– Using the “Retrieve CIK” function on the Form Data tab will now also retrieve the SEC File Number.
– The “Retrieve Reporting Owner(s)” function is now available on the Form Data tab.
– The “Approximate Date of Sale” field will now check to see if the value is between today’s date minus one year and today’s date plus ten business days.
– The “Date Acquired” field will now check to see if the value is between 01/01/1993 and today’s date plus ten business days.
– The “Date of Payment” field will now check to see if the value is between 01/01/1993 and today’s date plus ten business days.
N-PORT Updates
– The “Debt Securities, Reference Instrument CUSIP” field (C.9.f.iii.4) is marked as required.
– The “Reference Instrument: Index/Custom Basket, Components, Identifiers, CUSIP” field (d.ii) is now marked as required.
– The “Reference Instrument: Other Instruments, Identifiers, CUSIP” field (c.ii) is now marked as required.
N-PX Updates
– The application will now write the “howVoted” tag as empty if no content was entered into the form instead of omitting the tag from the XML when saving.
Form X-17A Updates
– Removed the OMB expiration date to match the SEC’s proof.
General EDGAR Updates
– Redesigned the “Set EDGAR Next User Credentials” dialog to closer match the “EDGAR Next” tab of the application preferences.
– Improved Filer and User Token handling when performing API operations.
– Added tools “Verify Login”, “Verify API”, and “Download User Token”.
– Corrected issues with background lookup/verification of CIK/CCCs.
– Improved the mailbox when working with EDGAR Next.
Regulation A Updates
– Added various improvements to form validation.
– The application will automatically insert a hyphen into the IRS Number field if only 9 digits are entered.
SCHEDULE 13D/G Updates
– Improved multiple issues with proofing and validation.
Section 16 Updates
– The application will check if the state or its code matches the EDGAR system.
– Improved handling of the documentName tag and file names.
