The SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets will hold an open meeting that will be available via webcast on sec.gov on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The meeting is free and open for the public to attend. {expires: 2025-02-27}
During the meeting, the Division staff will consider:
- whether to extend the compliance dates and an order granting temporary exemptive relief for standards for covered clearing agencies for US Treasury Securities for Rule 17ad-22(e)(18)(iv)(A) and (B) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Exchange Act)
- whether to issue a temporary exemption for US Treasury securities CCAs regarding Rule 17ad-22(e)(6)(i) under the Exchange Act (and a similar exemption under Section 19(g) of the Exchange Act), which apply to covered clearing agencies that provide central counterparty services for US Treasury securities
Staff will also discuss the application of the December 2024 Broker-Dealer Customer Protection final rule with respect to US Treasury Securities.
