On December 17th, the eForms system was updated with draft Version 2025-01-01 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files. The Taxonomy Package also has been made accessible in the eForms portal under Taxonomy History.
Version 2025-01-01 implements the following changes:
- incorporate Order 898 changes to the taxonomies, validations and rendering code
- adopt the XBRL Inline Renderer (XENDR) to replace the FERC Renderer for faster and enhanced file rendering with updated taxonomies
- update Xule to v1.2 Validation to enable enhanced validations and quicker validation process
- update Arelle to v2.35.18 to ensure FERC eForms XBRL backend is modernized with latest features and performance optimizations
Significant Notes on Version 2025-01-01
For submissions subject to the 2025-01-01 version and beyond, the latest XENDR and Xule plugins have been installed for local test filings. For submissions subject to versions prior to 2025-01-01, the system will automatically use the corresponding older plugins, maintaining compatibility with previous versions of the taxonomy.
