FERC Updates eForms Refresh

On February 2nd, the FERC announced that drafts of the Release 2.0 Taxonomies may now be accessed in the Vendor File Library under Quick Links on the FERC’s eForms Refresh webpage. The final Release 2.0 taxonomies will be available to test and submit official filings in the eCollection portal beginning February 17, 2022. Release 2.0 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files must be used when filing 2021 FERC Form Nos. 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A, 6, 60, and 714. Continue reading "FERC Updates eForms Refresh" »

SEC Releases Annual Staff Report on Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations

On January 31th, the SEC issued its annual Staff Report on Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations (NRSROs), as required by Section 6 of the Credit Rating Agency Reform Act of 2006 and Section 15E(p)(3)(C) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

SEC Announces Proposed Updates to Private Fund Reporting Requirements

On January 26th, the SEC voted to propose amendments to Form PF, the confidential reporting form for certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds. FASB Publishes Proposed Revisions to Future Taxonomy Related to Proposed ASU on Liabilities - Supplier Finance Programs

In December 2021, the FASB released a proposed update to the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Financial Reporting Taxonomy (US GAAP GRT) related to a Proposed Accounting Standards Update (ASU) on Liabilities - Supplier Finance Programs (Subtopic 405-50). FERC Staff Releases Hackberry Storage Draft Environmental Impact Statement

In December 2021, the FERC staff prepared a draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) to evaluate the environmental impacts associated with LA Storage, LLC’s Hackberry Storage Project. LA Storage is soliciting approval to construct and operate certain natural gas facilities in the state of Louisiana. LA Storage proposes to convert three current salt dome caverns and develop one new salt dome cavern for natural gas storage service. SEC Revises Notification for EDGAR Cipher Update

As a reminder, the SEC is updating the ciphers it supports in its Transport Layer Security (TLS) cryptographic protocol on Monday, January 17, 2022. The upcoming upgrade was previously announced on August 25, 2021 and October 27, 2021.

SEC Releases Taxonomy Compatibility for Newly Required Auditor Tags in the 2021Q4 DEI Taxonomy

The SEC previously announced that the 2021Q4 version of the Document and Entity Information (DEI) taxonomy, which includes the newly added elements for tagging auditor information required in Release No. 93701, is compatible only with the 2021 versions of other taxonomies. If a filer attempts to use the 2021Q4 version of the DEI taxonomy with the 2020 version of another taxonomy in the same filing, the filing will be suspended.
