Chapter Twenty-three — XBRL Functions (continued)
XBRLViewGetPresentations Function
Overview
The XBRLViewGetPresentations function returns an array of presentation names and positions for an XBRL Object.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string [] = XBRLViewGetPresentations ( handle hXBRL );
Parameters
hXBRL
A handle containing the reference to an XBRL Object.
Return Value
A string array containing the presentation name for an empty set on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve a formatted error code.
Remarks
This function may return pseudo presentations (presentation names) or sheets that contain information that is not directly part of the XBRL report. For example, “XBRL Financial Fields” is a sheet name containing all the XBRL facts. Use the XBRLViewGetPresentationType to determine the presentation type or test for a pseudo presentation.
The position within the array can be used as the presentation index value to access other presentation properties.
