Overview
The GetPlatformType function returns a string containing a platform code indicating the type of platform Legato was compiled and operating under.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = GetPlatformType ( );
Parameters
(none)
Return Value
Returns a string containing the platform code.
Remarks
The codes are currently:
x86 — 32-bit Win32 platform.
x64 — 64-bit Windows platform.
In addition to this API function, as part of the operating environment, the internal values x86 and x64 are defined as terms to allow for condition code interpretation. For example:
#ifdef x86 MessageBox("We're 32-bit"); #endif #ifdef x64 MessageBox("We're 64-bit"); #endif
Note that the platform type is not the operating system type. See IsWindows64Bit.
