Chapter Nine — Dialog Functions (continued)
Overview
The ControlChangeFont function changes the font for a specific control.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = ControlChangeFont ( int id, string style, [boolean update] );
Parameters
id
An int that identifies the dialog control to disable.
style
A formatted string as a preset style keyword. See Remarks below.
update
An optional boolean as TRUE or FALSE indicating whether to update immediately. The default is TRUE.
Return Value
Returns an int value as ERROR_NONE on success, ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog, or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open.
Remarks
The style can be one of the following:
Normal Console
Bold Italic
Small SmallNarrow
Mono SmallMono ExtraSmallMono
Wingding Webding
For the bold and italic styles, the current font for the control is used as the basis for the style change. Note that most controls follow either the dialog page default style or the theme for Windows.
The control will be invalidated for painting and immediately updated as specified by the update flag. If not updated immediately, Windows will paint the control at some point depending on the paint loading.
