Chapter Five — General Functions (continued)
Overview
The Make32Word function creates a dword from a series of bytes or words, high to low.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
dword = Make32Word ( byte data, byte data, byte data, byte data );
dword = Make32Word ( word data, word data );
Parameters
data
A byte or word.
Return Value
Returns a dword comprised of the data elements.
Remarks
The Make32Word function converts a series of byte or word data types into a 32 bit dword. The sequence of parameters (either 4 byte parameters or 2 word parameters) must occur in high to low order. Combined these values will comprise the 32-bit double word. If the wrong combination of word or byte parameters is passed to the function, the resulting dword will be truncated to 32 bits. Passing the Make32Word function an inappropriate parameter (such as a string) results in a hard runtime error, and the script will abort.
