Chapter Five — General Functions (continued)
Overview
The UTCtoLocal function converts an ISO-8601 string or date-time qword value as UTC (Universal Coordinated Time or Zulu) and converts it to local time.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = UTCToLocal ( string source );
qword = UTCToLocal ( qword source );
Parameters
source
A formatted ISO-8601 string or a 64-bit date-time qword. The type of source parameter determines the return type.
Return Value
Returns an ISO-8601 string or a date-time qword value containing the local date and time value. If an error occurs the return value will be an empty string or zero, respectively. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The UTCToLocal function converts a UTC date-time value to a local date-time value, taking into consideration location issues such as time zone and daylight savings time. If the source parameter is a string, it must be ISO-8601 formatted.
