Overview
The StringToTimeZoneBias function parses a standard time zone string and returns the bias in minutes from UTC.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = StringToTimeZoneBias ( string data );
Parameters
data
A string in the form of a time zone appendage such as “+0500” or “z”.
Return Value
Returns an int as a time zone bias in minutes or a formatted error code. Formatted error codes will contain either ERROR_RANGE or ERROR_SYNTAX with an ORed subfield of 1, 2 or 3 depending on the location of the error.
On success, the last error code will contain the formatted time zone information. See StringToTimeZone for a table of bitwise zone information.
Remarks
StringToTimeZoneBias returns the translated zone information as a bias value.
If seconds are provided such as “-05:00:00”, the seconds are ignored.
