Chapter Three — Data Types and Operators (continued)
Comparison operators compare two operands within an expression. The comparison results in a boolean value, either TRUE or FALSE. Operations can be performed on variables, string literals, and numeric literals. Comparison operators are evaluated left-to-right. The following comparison operators are used in Legato:
Equal to | == | a == b |
Not equal to | != | a != b |
Greater than | > | a > b |
Greater than or equal to | >= | a >= b |
Less than | < | a < b |
Less than or equal to | <= | a <= b |
Comparison operators are evaluated in their order of precedence as described in Section 3.12 Operator Precedence.
